January

28th - 29th. Hravnslith Training Weekend
Held at Portisham Village Hall, Portisham Dorset. Planned training on Saturday and possibly Sunday morning. Over night accomodation in school hall. Hopefully their will be guest RTTs qualified in most weapons their. Contact Tony Thorpe if you require additional details.

February

17th – 18th. Manaraefan Training Weekend
Held at St Andrew s Primary School, Laverstock Salisbury Wiltshire. Start at 10am Saturday, finish 4pm Sunday. Over night accomodation in school hall. Manaraefan has RTTs qualified in most weapons. Contact Roger Barry if you are not in Manaraefan and wish to attend.

March

17th – 18th. National Training Weekend, Walesby, Nottingham. Major, The Vikings

31st - 1st(April). Spring Camp (March Muster). Abbotsbury. A chance to air all the living history equipment, some training in the normal 'Plastic' camping field in Abbotsbury.

June

9th– 10th. Corfe Castle (National Trust), Dorset. Medium, Cwmwd Ial & Hravnslith
Hravnslith/Cwmwd Ial large Medium event at Corfe Castle, Dorset. Following on from the success of our Saxon Weekend in May 2006 we have been invited back by the National Trust to build on what will be an annual event. Corfe Castle is probably one of the most stunning (and largest) castles in the UK and more importantly to us the site is steeped in Viking age intrigue, treachery and battles (Check out Corfe Gate in the AS Chronicles). We will be setting out a large palisaded LHE encampment complete with seige & battles. Further details, timeline etc to follow. Contact Tony Thorpe for more details.

16th. The Recreation Ground, Ricketts lane, Sturminster newton, Dorset. Minor, Hravnslith. Just a one day show with 2 arena slots of 30min each. We will supply L.H.E but your more than welcome to bring more. Camping from friday night, also camping saturday night& if you wish do some training on sunday. All welcome

23rd. Abbotsbury fund raising night for the church restoration fund. At the Tythe Barn. Minor, Hravnslith.

July

1st – 8th. Peel, Isle of Man, Major, The Vikings
Isle of Man Viking Festival, like last year but bigger. 7th and 8th will be the major part of the show, to include the Major Battle.

14th. Bishopshalt School for the Performing Arts, Uxbridge(Just inside M25). Centennial Fete. Medium,Valhalla.
One day show for school fete, but camping available for Saturday night. Combat and LH. Petrol subsidy available for LH if booked and cleared in advance.

21st. Portesham Village Hall. A one day show.

21st - 22nd. Old Sarum Archaeological weekend. Minor, Manareafan.
EH Archeology Weekend; This is a small freebie that Manareafan do for EH as a thank you for letting them train at Old Sarum. There will be a living history, weapons display and a small arena. Authentic camping only. Anyone not going to Whitby welcome.

August

11th - 12th. Kelmarsh Hall. Northhamptonshire. Medium. Y Ddraig. English Heritage multiperiod event in grounds of Kelmarsh Hall. All periods from Romans to World War Two. The time line will be 11th century with Living History and combat in a small arena in LHE all day,There will be a Battle display will be against Conquest in the main arena. Expenses will be paid.

25th – 27th. Fort Nelson, Portsmouth, Hants. Major, The Vikings
Set up Saturday, shows on Sunday/Monday. LHE, Battle, Combat Display, Archery Display. Small elements form other societies may be there as the theme of the site is artillery through the ages and we dont have much!

October

13th – 14th. Battle Abbey, Major, The Vikings
Battle of Hastings, LHE, battle and usual arena displays.

November

10th. St. Johns Hall, Fortuneswell, Portland, Dorset
Lecture by Julian Richardson on the Vikings, starts 3pm.
£5 Ticket, not an event put on by us but we feel it is relevant.

17th. Southern Alliance Banquet
£15 Adult / £10 Child
